Caipirinha's in Rio
On our recent trip to Brazil we had the good fortune to stop in the Churrascaria Palace. Located just off the beautiful Copacabana beaches this authentic Brazilian churrascaria dishes up some mouth-watering bar-b-que meats along with a huge selection of seafood, including a sushi-bar and salads. There's an all-you-can-eat meat buffet on almost every corner in Rio but the Churrascaria Palace has been around for 60 years and they really bring the authentic flavors and a one-of-a-kind friendly service, even to those who only speak a few words of Portugese. The restaurant is decorated with old black & white photos of Copacabana and a television that rotates more old shots on a loop.
We had to sample their caipirinha and were pleased to learn that our server would be mixing it at our table side. As you'll see in the video he was smiley and happy to become a video star.
If you want to create your own caipirinha at home be sure to check our recipe for that and some delicious Brazilian food as well.
